                                                                        I am surprised in this modern day that someone should believe that love should follow religious or political dictat rather than the heart. Reverend Sylvia Bareham in her contribution to the June Church Newsletter has presented an intelligent and articulate argument against the Monarch being allowed to marry a Catholic, but there are other issues that she has skirted around which perhaps need also to be addressed.                                                                                </description>

                                                                        On 23rd June the Home Renewable Energy Grant was put to the Sustainable Development Panel. This grant as worded would have restricted the Grant to only two technologies: Solar hot water and heat pumps. Both are commendable technologies but the cost of solar hot water had dropped by a third in recent years and hardly needs additional incentives.                                                                                </description>

                                                                        Over the weekend of 13/14th June Fornham All Saints held a very successful Scarecrow Festival, and Cllr David Chappell was asked to judge the scarecrows, together with Cllr Bob Cockle - Deputy Mayor of St Edmundsbury Council. Residents showed great ingenuity and skill in creating the many scarecrows on display throughout the village.                                                                                </description>
